Confirmation
Signed confirmation of the booking must be received within ten working days of the original booking being made, along with a deposit of 25% of the estimated total unless other arrangements have been made. Palmer Wines reserves the right to cancel the booking and reallocate the venue to another client if these requirements are not met. Please note all menus and prices are subject to change.
Final Numbers
A minimum number of guests attending the function is required by close of business, 7 days prior to the function. Charges will be based on these minimum numbers or the actual attendance, whichever is greater.
Payment
Full payment is due 7 days prior to the function unless credit has been established and accepted by Palmer Wines, where upon the account is to be signed or paid by the organizer at the conclusion of the function. These credit accounts are to be settled in full within seven days of receipt of the invoice. If payment is made by American Express or Diners, a 3% surcharge will apply.
Cancellation
In the event of the function being cancelled within a month of the event being held, a refund of the deposit will be subject to the venue being resold. If cancellation is received less than one month of the event, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation received within 7 days of the event, Palmer Wines will charge 25% of the expected revenue as penalty. For cancellation with less than seven days notice, Palmer Wines will charge 50% of expected revenue.
Compliances
It is understood that the organiser will conduct their function in an orderly manner in full compliance with the Palmer Wines management and with all applicable laws.
Liquor Licensing Act 1988
This Act prevents Palmer Wines from selling, supplying or allowing an intoxicated person to consume liquor. Penalties are imposed on the licensee, staff and anyone aiding an intoxicated person to obtain more liquor. Organisers are required to aid the management of Palmer Wines to ensure that any person who is noticeably intoxicated is not permitted to be served more liquor and are not permitted to supply their own beverages, other than pre arranged standard and low strength beer.
Juveniles on Licensed Property
The main stipulation under the Liquor Licensing Act is that persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their legal guardian or an adult family member to be allowed on the premises and they must not consume alcohol at any time.
Liability
If Palmer Wines has reason to believe that the function will affect the smooth running of the cellar door or surrounding area, its security or reputation, it reserves the right to cancel the function without liability. Palmer Wines reserves the right to exclude or eject any and all objectionable persons from the premises without liability.
Exclusive Function Bookings
Please note that should you wish to book Palmer Wines exclusively there are minimum spends applicable.
Venue Occupancy
The organiser agrees to begin the function and vacate the venue at the scheduled times with regards to all applicable laws.
Display and Signage
No items are to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door, window or other surface or part of the building. The hanging of banners or display of all signs must be approved by Palmer Wines prior to the function.
Responsibility
Palmer Wines is not liable to the organiser for damages to, or loss of, merchandise or equipment left at Palmer Wines venue area prior to, during, or after the function as per the Liquor Licensing Act 1988. Organisers should arrange their own insurance and/or security. Organisers are financially responsible for any damages sustained to Palmer Wines premises by the organiser, organiser’s guests, invitees or other persons attending the function, whether in the area reserved or another part the premises. No food or beverage of any kind will be permitted to be brought onto the property for consumption at the function without the prior permission of Palmer Wines.
