Mark Warren is a respected winemaker with 22 years experience both in the Swan Valley and Margaret River. He began his career at Lamont’s before moving south to work at Happs where he has been for 9 years. Mark is also a consultant to several other small wineries and along with starting his own wine brand Marq Wines which is dedicated to alternative varieties is currently responsible for the production of 60-70 different wines per year.
Mark has a degree in Wine Science from Charles Sturt University and a Science Degree from the University of Western Australia and is currently lecturing in Wine Science and Advanced Sensory at Curtin University Margaret River-a position he has held for the past 8 years.
Mark’s experience and knowledge has meant he is a sought after wine judge in both regional and national wine shows and throughout his career he has won numerous gold medals and wine show trophies. He has overseen the production of Palmer Wines since the 2007 vintage and is looking forward to the many vintages to come.
